Dadhiici is a Sanskrit word that Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar used for Ananda Margiis who died for the mission. According to Sarkar, Christians who died in Christianity's religious wars (crusades) are called martyrs. Similarly, Muslims who died in Islam's religious wars (jehádd) are called shahiid. Sarkar preferred the word dadhiici–[1]
. . . we can use the word "dadhiici" for them because Maharśi Dadhiici sacrificed his life for the welfare of others.
