Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar, Yesterday's Man of Tomorrow is a feature-length documentary film focused on the life and works of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar. The project was begun by Abhidevananda Avadhuta in late 2014. The current working title of the film is Imminent Change. The project has entered its final stage of production.
Trailer
The first and only trailer for the film was made in 2015. It was used as part of a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.
History
Work on the film began in late 2014, with all of the funding coming from AmRevolution, Inc.. After the first expedition to India with a film team from India, a trailer was made and some additional funding was sought through crowdfunding. When much less than the targeted amount was raised, the pace of production slowed. Nevertheless an additional two trips were made to India for additional interviews and other film footage. In addition, other interviews were conducted in different parts of the world. In early 2017, much-needed additional funding has been pledged. The current target date of completion is mid-2017.
Distribution
As with other products of PROUT Films, the planned distribution pattern is to make the film available to private individual for personal viewing. With respect to commercial concerns (for example, TV stations), they will need to seek permission from AmRevolution and pay a fee to screen the documentary.
