Kindling my lamp,
Having lit a lamp, home's darkness,
I could remove the darkness of mind.
I am able to dispel it.
But mind's darkness to banish,
By no means can I accomplish.


To remove the darkness of mind,
Outside, oh what dark-moon night,
nothing was at my disposal.
But joined with it are star-smiles.
Due to stinginess the mind's darkness
Is only made still darker.


Outside, deep darkness prevailed,
At the core of mind in utter privacy,
yet, it mixed with the smile of stars.

From tiers of waves in form's sea,
Due to meanness,
Impinging on the sky of psyche,

and place it on a series of waves,
that arise from the ocean of beauty.
 
In the firmament of my mind,
I keep on remembering you each moment.
