Pradiip jvaliya giyacho caliya is the 842nd song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Pradiip jváliyá giyácho caliyá
Tárpar giyácho bhule
Maner kusume giyácho daliyá
Bhule gecho mor áṋkhijale (tumi)

Tárpar cale geche kata jug
Kata háhákár vyathá bhará buk
Kata je jáminii vrthá cale geche
Basiyá tomár vedii múle

Je pradiip jvelechile nija háte
Ájo projjval áche se shikháte
Tári álo hate shata diip jváli
Dine ráte sáṋjhe sakále

O Lord,
You kindled the lamp and went away,
and then forgot me.

You crushed my mental flower
and forgot the tears in my eyes.

How many ages have passed since?
How many hearts,
full of agony and lamentations, endured?

How many nights passed by wastefully,
sitting on the base of your altar?

The lamp's flame
that you kindled with your own hands,
glows even to this day.

From that flame,
I keep kindling hundreds of lamps,
day and night,
mornings and evenings.
