Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

(Sei) Manda madhur váte
Rauṋe ráuṋá práte
Kii sur bhásiyá esechilo
Tapta káiṋcane áṋká aiṋjane
Núpurashiiṋjine kii máyá chilo

Tandráhata práń shatadhá chut́e gelo
Chandáyita gán kii bháve bhare gelo
Dharára dhúli pare amarár sudhá jhare
Sudúreri d́ák ditechilo

Argala khuli pura rúpasiirá
Rúperi upacáre halo disháhárá
Vanera vijane vihaga kújane
Tava náme gáne bhará chilo

On the sweet and gentle breeze
Of one crimson-colored morning,
Such a melody came floating in!
With kohl traced in molten gold
And with anklets jingling, oh what magic was there.

Sloth-destroying vigor raced in many directions;
Rhythmic songs were infused with cosmic ideation.
Upon Earth's dust rained down ambrosia from heaven;
The summons from afar had been given.

Letting down their barriers, the fair housewives,
With dainty religious apparatus, they were mystified.
Alone in the forest, a tattler chirping sweetly,
With Your name and song she was replete.
