Tandra bheunge dio is the 892nd song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tandrá bheuṋge dio
Vajranirghośe
Áshár diip jvele rekho
Tamasáy nirnimeśe

Áloker játrápathe ná tháki áṋkhi buje
Dishehárá haye path ná mari khuṋji
Candráloke jena candana mákháno
Ákáshe tava dhvani sadá háse bháse

Cái ná dugdhaphenanibha pelava shajyá
Cái ná madirámákhá varńát́ya sajjá
Cái ná here jáoyá dustara lajjá
Cái shudhu álo áro álo áro álo
Je álo niye jábe sakala siimára sheśe

O Lord,
break my lethargy
with harsh calls.

In this darkness,
keep my lamp ever lighted.

That on the journey of this path
my eyes do not remain closed,
and, should i ever lose my path,
I not stop searching.

Like the sandal that spreads in the moonlight,
Your voice eternally resonates in the sky.

I do not want a soft,
milky white bed,
nor colourful, enchanting decorations.
Neither do i want the shame of defeat.

I want only light,
more and more light.
The light that will take me
beyond all limitations.
