Tomár lági ráti jági Base chilum málá háte Ele náko balle náko Kena ná ele se nishiithe Dúr ákáshe cáṋder álo Ceyechilo tomá tare Hrdákáshe bhare dilo Rág ráginii náná sure Ácambite áshár diipe Niviye dile khara váte Mor námlo je ghum áṋkhipáte Cáṋder álo nive gelo Cáridike káloy kálo Puiṋjiibhúta hatásháte Áṋdháre man bhare gelo Tabu bhálobási ei bharasáy Pávár ásháy áchi mete	তোমার লাগি রাতি জাগি বসে ছিলুম মালা হাতে এলে নাকো বললে নাকো কেন না এলে সে নিশীথে দূর আকাশে চাঁদের আলো চেয়েছিলো তোমা তরে হৃদাকাশে ভরে দিলো রাগ-রাগিণী নানা সুরে আচম্বিতে আশার দীপে নিবিয়ে দিলে খর বাতে মোর নামলো যে ঘুম আঁখিপাতে চাঁদের আলো নিবে গেলো চারিদিকে কালোয় কালো পুঞ্জীভূত হতাশাতে আঁধারে মন ভরে গেলো তবু ভালোবাসি এই ভরসায় পাবার আশায় আছি মেতে	O Lord, for you i have been sitting awake the whole night, holding a garland in my hand. Yet, you did not come, neither did you tell me why. Why did you not come that night? The moonlight of the sky too was waiting for you. You filled the firmament of my heart with numerous tunes and melodies. Suddenly, with a strong wind, You extinguished the lamp of my hope and brought sleep to my eyes. The moonlight faded away and darkness spread all over. My mind became filled with the concentrated darkness of disappointment. But i still love you. Filled with hope and confidence I shall attain you.
