(Tumi) Ámáy bhálo besechile
Besechile paráń d́hele
(Ámi) Áṋdhárer gahvare chilúm
Álor rathe tule nile

(Ámi) Beṋce mará hayechilum
Brthá káje kál kát́átum
Dine ráte shudhu bhávtum
Beṋce jába marań ele

Avasheśe tumi ele
Sakal gláni sariye dile
Man ráuṋiye diye balle
Bhávcha kena ámáy pele

তুমি আমায় ভালো বেসেছিলে
বেসেছিলে পরাণ ঢেলে’
(আমি) আঁধারের গহ্বরে ছিলুম
আলোর রথে তুলে’ নিলে

(আমি) বেঁচে’ মরা হয়েছিলুম
বৃথা কাজে কাল কাটাতুম
দিনে রাতে শুধু ভাবতুম
বেঁচে’ যাব মরণ এলে

অবশেষে তুমি এলে
সকল গ্লানি সরিয়ে দিলে
মন রাঙিয়ে দিয়ে বললে
ভাবছ কেন আমায় পেলে

O lord,
You loved me with all your heart.
I had remained submerged
in the depth of darkness.
You lifted me up onto the chariot of light.

My condition was almost like dead,
passing time in wasteful actions.

Day and night, i kept thinking
I would survive by dying.
In the end, you came
and removed all my agonies.

You coloured my mind and told me:
"why do you keep worrying,
having already attained me?"
