Esecho bakuler gandhe bhará
Tái parán ámár halo ápanhárá
Bakuler gandhe bhará

Je áshá lukáye chilo gopane
Mánav mánase chilo gáhane
Táháke jágáye spandane
Mukharita karile dhará dhará

Je phul phot́eni kabhu smarańe
Je rauṋ jágeni kabhu manane
Táháke chaŕáye dile bhuvane
Surabhita halo dhará sárá sárá

তুমি এসেছো তুমি এসেছো
এসেছো বকুলের গন্ধে ভরা
তাই পরাণ আমার হলো আপনহারা
বকুলের গন্ধে ভরা

যে আশা লুকায়ে ছিলো গোপনে
মানব মানসে ছিলো গাহনে
তাহাকে জাগায়ে স্পন্দনে
মুখরিত করিলে ধরা ধরা

যে ফুল ফোটেনি কভু স্মরণে
যে রঙ জাগেনি কভু মননে
তাহাকে ছড়ায়ে দিলে ভুবনে
সুরভিত হলো ধরা সারা সারা

You have come, You have come;
You have come, full of fragrance bakul.[nb 2]
And so my heart is enthralled,
Full of fragrance bakul.

The hidden hope that was buried,
Buried deep in mankind's mind—
It's now roused and throbbing,
Resounding round the globe.

The flower that never bloomed in rumination,
The color that never rose in imagination—
It now permeates cosmic mind,
And redolent is the world entire.

  2. ^ The bakul (বকুল) or mimusops elengi tree is found in South and Southeast Asia as well as Northern Australia. Its flowers have a light fragrance that persists after the flowers are dried. In India, these flowers are used to make ornamental garlands for ceremonial worship of deities.
