Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tumi ke go ele
Ke go ele
Diirghakáler nidrá bháuṋgále
Áṋdhár hrday áloy bharále

Shukno shákháy mukul jágále
Mará gáuṋe joyár bahále
Sonár rauṋe jiivan ráuṋále

Tomáy peye sakal peyechi
Tomár ásáy ásh mit́iyechi
Diirghacalár klánti bhulále
Man mátáno sure tále

O lord,
who are you who came
to break my long lasting slumber?

To fill light into my dark heart
and sprout leaves on my dry branches?

To flow a tide in my dry river,
and colour my life with golden colours?

By attaining you, i attained all.
On your arrival,
all my expectations attained fruition.

You made me forget my prolongued tiredness
and enchanted my mind with melodies and rhythms.
