Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Áloker ei játrápathe
Áṋdháre kena base tháka
Dyuloker ei dyutira rathe
Bhed vidveś kena rákha

Avaniir sheś siimá hátcháni dey
Miśt́imadhur bháśá kii je kaye jáy
Sei d́áke sáŕá dáo egiye calo (tumi)
Kál ghum tyág kare jágo jágo

Dúr ákásher tárá niiháriká
Keu par nay tumi nao go eká
Nihsauṋgatá bhule sabáre ceno (tumi)
Dúre thákivár kathá bhevo náko

On this very pathway of effulgence,
Why keep sitting in the darkness?
On this brilliant chariot of heaven,
Why preserve discord and malice?

Earth's final frontier, it beckons;
How sweet is the language that it speaks!
Come forward, and reply to that summons...
Awake, arise, cast aside the time that you did sleep.

The stars and nebulae of the far firmament,
None are foreign; you are not at all alone.
Dismissing isolation, acquaint yourself with everyone;
Don't even think of remaining remote.
