Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Álor dháráy tumi bháso
Miśt́i mohan tumi háso
Madhur bháve bhálobáso
Tomár kathá ná bhávileo
Sabár tumi tamah násho

Chile ácho thákbe tumi
Nityakáler tumi prabhu
Asiim apár liilá tomár
Anta habe ná kabhu
Tomár káje ná ásileo
Tumi sabár káje áso

Diner sheśe jabe sandhyá náme
Sauṋgiirá cale jáy ghare
Tumii shudhu sauṋge tháko
Ghire ghire cári dháre
D́ák shuńe ár keu sáŕá ná dileo
Tumi sadá madhu bháśo

On a stream of light You arise,
And with kindly charm You smile;
You give love in the sweetest style.
Not omitting those who don't think of You,
For everyone You remove the gloom.

You were, You are, You will abide;
You reign as Lord of eternal time.
Boundless and profound is Your game;
And it won't ever terminate.
Even those who aren't of help to You,
For everyone You are of use.

At end of day when dusk descends,
Companions go home to their residence.
Just You alone remain behind,
All around, on every side.
Even if one hears Your call but does not respond,
You speak sweetly ever and anon.
