Arup sagar par haye ele is the 859th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Arúp ságar pár haye ele
Rúper áloy bhare gele (tumi)
Madhupa haiyá phulavane ele
Madhute mádhurii ene dile (tumi)

Já karár nay tái je karile
Já párár nay táo je párile
Asti bháti duyer upare
Nija gaorave nije ele (tumi)

Maona tapasyá je calechilo
Tava ágaman ipsita chilo
Tamisrá nimajjita bhave
Jyotiśkakańá d́hele dile (tumi)

Crossing over the formless ocean,
You were filled with light of beauty.
You came like bee into a flower garden,
You begot the sweetness in honey.

What was undone, You completed it;
What could not be done, You also did.
Above both progress and existence,
For Your own glory, You came in person.[nb 2]

The silent penance that had been done,
Your advent it was yearning for.
Upon a world in gloom absorbed,
A bit of heaven You did pour.

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ According to Sarkar, the individual and society both require three factors for healthy life. Asti (existence) comprises the physical and psycho-physical requisites of life (food, clothing, housing, medical care, and education). Bháti (development) comprises the six elements needed for psychic and psycho-spiritual advancement. Ánanda (bliss) is the ultimate goal of life.[3]
