Cinechi tomare cinechi ami is the 742nd song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

(Cinechi) Tomáre cinechi ámi
Dúr alakár srote
Shubhra áloka rathe
Bhese esechile tumi

D́heu jágáyechile tamasára parapáre
Gán geyechile sambodhira jhaiṋkáre
Phul phot́áyechile hrdayeri utsáre
Dhará 'pare ásile námi

Kona bhedábhed nái
Ucu nicu máno nái
Kona kśudratá ámi tomáte náhi pái
Tái carańatale satata nami

I've recognized, I've recognized Thee
In far-distant heaven's stream.
On a chariot of bright light
You'd come riding.

A wave You've awakened on the other bank of ignorance;[nb 2]
You have sung with perfect intuition's jingling sound.
Flowers You've made blossom with Your heart's emanation;
Upon the earth You came down.

Without any partiality,
To 'high' or 'low' You pay no heed.
In Thee no meanness do I find;
So I kneel forever 'neath Your feet.

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ Another valid but more literal translation of tamasára parapáre (তমসার পরপারে) would be "on the other bank of Tamasá". It was on the bank of the river Tamasá that Valmiki, the author of the Ramayana, composed his first shloka, poetic verse.
