Making the Man Universal is the second discourse given by Shrii Shrii Anandamurti in Lyon, France. The discourse was delivered in English on the morning of 1979 June 3. This discourse is the 31st chapter of Ananda Vacanamrtam Part 12.[1]

Synopsis

This becoming one with Parama Puruśa is the supreme union with the Supreme Faculty, and is called salvation or emancipation. Emancipation in this case is liberation of permanent nature. Salvation is something of permanent nature. When once acquired, acquired forever or attained forever, then that is the spirit of Supreme Cognition. Each and every spiritual aspirant should know it and get liberation.

Shrii Shrii Anandamurti

Anandamurti starts the discourse by saying that man is created in the introversive stage, going towards Parama Purusa. He then explains that human beings have a physical body, a psychic body, and a spiritual witnessing faculty, or jiivatma. In the case of the supreme subject, everything is internal, so we call him Parama Atma. Anandamurti goes on saying that when human beings take the infinite as their object and convert their small identity to an infinite one, they no longer remain limited. One day they will surely become one with the Supreme and attain permanent liberation.[1]
