Proposing move to Ajke Prabhu tomar sathe,P capital, following capital in "Lord". --TitoDutta 14:41, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

That would necessitate changes to a lot of songs, and it would make the search for songs more difficult. A link to Eso eso bandhu eso would not work if the title were written Eso eso Bandhu eso, and vice versa. So I prefer not to capitalize romanization of Bengali words for three reasons: (1) Bengali does not have capital letters (2) The average reader won't know the meaning of Bengali words and hence have no idea which words should be capitalized (3) Many times a name for God would allow for discretionary capitalization (in the above example), and many times a tumi referring to God might also need to be capitalized, which would then lead to endless debates about whether to capitalize or not capitalize various pronouns and oblique references to God (bandhu, sakha, tumi, and so on). Of course, we could get around these problems by creating a huge number of redirects, but that seems absurd to me. --Abhidevananda (talk) 15:02, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
