The Complications of Doing Evil is a discourse given by Shrii Shrii Anandamurti on 1978 August 28 in Patna, India. This discourse is the twenty sixth chapter of Ananda Vacanamrtam Part 1.[1]

Synopsis

So, before you commit any pápa, you should think about its adverse reaction, immediate or subsequent. In good action, there may be some pain, but the reaction will always be beneficent.

Shrii Shrii Anandamurti

Anandamurti starts the discourse by explaining the difference between Papa and Pratyavaya. Papa means you do something you should not be doing and pratyavaya means you abstain from acting when you should. He then explains that sinners may feel exalted temporarily but they fail to see the painful outcome of careless actions. Anandamurti goes on saying that "Badra" means doing good everywhere, externally and internally. Such people are aware that deeds bare consequences and they do good in every situation, even painful. They will certainly meet with success and bliss.="AV1"/>
