Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomár bharasáy tarii mor bhese jáy
Tava bharasáy mama tarii (tarii go)
Tomári nám niye din mor ket́e jáy
Tava kathá báre báre smari (smari go)

Áṋdhár nishár májhe tumi dhruvatárá
Kakhano karo ná disháhárá
Vrśt́i bádaláy jhat́iká jhápt́áy
Tomá páne aniváre heri (heri go)

Durgama parvate uttuuṋga shikhare
Tava bale lauṋghite pári
Hrdaye tomáre dhari tomáre prańati kari
Spaśt́a kahite náhi d́ari (d́ari go)

Durdine vipade sudine sampade
Sabáre sauṋge rákha gheri (gheri go)

On faith in You my boat is sailing;
Oh my boat, on Your support does it rely.
With just Your name, my days go by;
Time after time, in my mind I invoke Thee.

In the dark night, You are my cynosure;
Never do You leave me lost as to the way.
In monsoon rain and gusty hurricane,
Oh I look, I look in Your direction.

With mountains hard to cross, their lofty peaks,
By Your power, I am able to climb over.
In my heart, Yourself I hold and bow before;
Speaking candidly, I don't feel fear.

In bad days of adversity, in good days of prosperity,
Along with everybody, You enfold and protect me.
