Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tumi ámáy bhálobesechile
Ámi tomár páne tákái ni
Tumi sab kichu more diyechile
Ámi pratidáne kichu dii ni

Nikaś krśńa kujjhat́ikáte
Hát dhare more rekhechile sáthe
Pather káṋt́áy tomár kśatete
Ámi to pralep mákhái ni

Duhkhe vipade kliśt́a hiyáte
Sántvaná sudhá tumi d́hele dite
Tomár vishva jajiṋa sháláte
Ámi to kona káje lági ni

You had loved me;
I did not even look Your way.
You'd given me everything,
But I gave nothing in exchange.

In the midst of pitch-dark fog,
Holding my hand, You'd shielded me;
But on Your wounds from pathway thorns,
No liniment did I smear.

In sorrow and mishap, when my heart was tried,
The nectar of solace You lavished;
But in Your workshop of cosmic sacrifice,
I did not contribute to Your service.
