(Tumi) Uttál sindhute náco Tomáre dharite pári ná jáite Tarauṋge veśt́ita ácho Sabe tomáre cáy sahaje náhi páy Chút́e dharite dháy bhaye pichiye jáy Ceyecho to dhará diyecho (tumi) Shástra paŕiyáchi vyákhyá shuńiyáchi Anek tiirthajátrá kariyáchi Pái ni tomáre ápanár kare Dekhi mane lukiye rayecho	(তুমি) উত্তাল সিন্ধুতে নাচো তোমারে ধরিতে পারি না যাইতে তরঙ্গে বেষ্টিত আছো সবে তোমারে চায় সহজে নাহি পায় ছুটে ধরিতে ধায় ভয়ে পিছিয়ে যায় চেয়েছো তো ধরা দিয়েছো (তুমি) শাস্ত্র পড়িয়াছি ব্যাখ্যা শুণিয়াছি অনেক তীর্থযাত্রা করিয়াছি পাই নি তোমারে আপনার করে’ দেখি মনে লুকিয়ে রয়েছো	You dance upon the surging sea. To hold You I cannot proceed; With high waves You are ringed. Yourself everybody wants but cannot get easily; They rush forth to grasp and turn back in fear; Had You but wished, You'd have let them reach. Scriptures I am reading and their explanation hearing, Ample pilgrimages I am taking, Still I don't find You; yet, having made You mine, I see You've been hiding in the mind.
