আলোর পরে আঁধার আসে
আঁধার শেষে আলো আসে
মনের ময়ূর আজ যে কাঁদে
কাল সে কলাপ মেলে' হাসে

মনে রেখো এ সার কথা
জীবন নয় শুধু ব্যর্থতা
আলো আছে কালো আছে
মধুর বিষে আছে মিশে'

আলোয় ঘেরা এই যে ধরা
রঙ-বেরঙের ফানুস-ভরা
এও হিয়াতে তৃপ্তি দিতে
পারে ছায়াতে এসে'

After light, darkness comes,
at the end of darkness, light comes.
the peacock of mind that cries today,
would smile spreading its wing tomorrow.
keep this essence of reality in the mind.
life is not just wastefulness.
light is there, darkness is also there,
sweetness and poison are mixed together.
this earth is surrounded by light
and full of colourful paper balloons.
they provide satisfaction
and consolation to the heart
coming through shade.
