Káṋdá ár hásá ei niye áshá[nb 2] |
কাঁদা আর হাসা এই নিয়ে আশা |
O lord, i have been crying and smiling with this hope, |
Notes
- ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
- ^ In the latest published Bengali version the word, ásá, is given in place of áshá on this and the following line. However, the original publication| is consistent in giving the word as áshá. Here, the original áshá is retained as ásá is less meaningful and perhaps even somewhat senseless.
