The Purpose Behind the Advent is a discourse given by Shrii Shrii Anandamurti on 1978 August 26 in Patna, India. This discourse is the twenty four chapter of Ananda Vacanamrtam Part 1.[1]
Synopsis
Paritráńáya sádhúnáḿ vinásháya ca duśkrtám; Dharmasaḿsthápanártháya sambhavámi yuge yuge. [I incarnate Myself in this world from age to age for the protection of the virtuous, the destruction of the wicked, and the restoration of dharma.]
On this discourse Anandamurti is explaining a shloka: Paritráńáya sádhúnáḿ vinásháya ca duśkrtám; Dharmasaḿsthápanártháya sambhavámi yuge yuge. Whenever wickedness and sin prevail and good people are exploited, whenever society's values decline and languish, The Supreme Lord gets manifested. He has a human form and thought while He can remain completely absorbed in a pure, unqualified consciousness( Taraka Brahma). Only such an entity can generate a strong change in society.[1]
