O Lord, I have been calling You
Age after age called have I;
since ages after ages.
You heard not my story.
But You never heard my talk.  
Having been far aside,
You stayed far away
You did not divine my grief.

Shouting with expression of dismay,  
Dismayed by thunder, I have called;
I continued moving with the sandal breeze.  
In gentle winds, singing have I gone.
Roaring like ocean with heart and soul,  
On ocean's roar, with heart and mind,
I have invoked You uselessly.  
In vain have I kept summoning.
I have been trying to express to You my pain
 
like eruptions of volcano,  
A belching crater alike
sweet humming of the bees,  
Or like bee's humming mild,
and intense noise of the storm.  
With a storm's endless cry,
Looking towards the firmament of the mind  
I've tried to clarify my agony.

suppressing the feelings,  
By looking toward the mental sky
I had been calling You

Vajrera hutáshe d́ekechi
Malaya vátáse geye gechi
Ságarer garjane mane práńe
Áhvána kare gechi vrthá

Jválámukhiir udgiirańe
Madhuper mrdhu guiṋjarańe
Jhaiṋjhára saghana svanane
Bojháte ceyechi mor vyathá

Cidákásher páne ceye
Manera málatimálá niye

তুমি শোনোনি আমার কথা
দূরে ছিলে সরে

বজ্রের হুতাশে ডেকেছি
মলয় বাতাসে গেয়ে গেছি
সাগরের গর্জনে মনে প্রাণে
আহ্বান করে' গেছি বৃথা

জ্বালামুখীর উদ্গীরণে
মধুপের মৃদু গুঞ্জরণে
ঝঞ্ঝার সঘন স্বননে
বোঝাতে চেয়েছি মোর ব্যথা

চিদাকাশের পানে চেয়ে
মনের মালতীমালা নিয়ে
ভাবেতে চাওয়াকে ছাপিয়ে
ডেকেছি ভেঙ্গেছো নীরবতা

Age after age called have I;
You heard not my story.
Having been far aside,
