Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ei jharńádhárá elo kothá theke
Sei, práńer utsa bole dáo go prabhu
Kothá hote ásiyáchi kotháy jábo
Tumi shudhu jáno he svayambhu

Ásiyájái calár sheśa nái
Biná paricchede ajánáy dhái
Ási je keno ár jái bá/je? keno
Ei, kenor saduttar pái ni kabhu

Jáni mor ásá jaoá tomáke ghire
Áse je vindu theke tátei phere
Tava liilá rase bhási ucchváse
Tomáke bhúlini kabhu tabu je prabhu

Wherefrom this flow of fountain came?
that origin of life, you tell me o Lord.
o the self Created, svayambhu,
you only know from where did i come
and where shall I go. i come and go,
there is no end to the movement.
without any fixation or bar,
i rush towards unknown.
Why did i come and why should i go,
the proper answer to this “why”
i never got.
i know that my coming and going
is around you. the point from which i came,
i would return back to that only.
i float in the flow of your divine game
with deep breath.
thus, i never forget you, o lord.
