Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Vajrer humkáre jharecho ulkádháre
He rudra tánd́ave e ki tava paricay
Ashani ághośa háni ánkhipáte dile áni
Cetanár jágarańe vimurta varábhay

Uddám uddand́a bháve nece calo
Jala sthala antarikśa kámpiye tolo
Pápágnite bhasma ráshi d́hele balo
Pápa shaktir jeno ei parińám hay

Máno náko kono máná sabi tava áche jáná
Kár kata shakti táo nay ajáná
Mor tare naevedya sájiye náná
Bolo kabhu bheve náko mor man habe jay

O lord, you fall meteorite
with the lightning thunder.
what an introduction of yours,
o the lord of cries,
through the ta’nd’ava dance.
striking with thunderous voice,
you brought tears in eyes.
for awakening of consciousness,
through embodiment of the gesture
of boon and fearlessness.
with expression of unrestrained
and recklessness, you go on dancing.
you stir the land, water and the space.
pouring ashes into the fires of the sin,
showing that this is the
consequence of the power of sins.
you never heed to any obstruction,
all is known to you.
who is having how much energy,
that also is not unknown to you.
for me you have arranged variety of oblations.
you tell never to think that my mind would win.
