Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ámár e gáner tarii
Bhásiye dilum tomár páne
Pál uŕiye d́heu guṋŕiye
Calbe se je dúr ujáne

Kona máná máni ná ár
Tumi jáhár kii bhay táhár
(Sab) Bádháy bhule ásháy dule
Egiye jábo mukta práńe

Alakh puruś áloke tháko
Dúre theke ábháse d́áko
Priitir parág práńe mákho
Káche áno alakha t́áne

O Lord, I have floated the boat of
this song of mine towards You.
With hoisted sail, crushing the waves,
it would go on far against the flow.
I will no more heed to any forbidding,
Why should one fear when You are his?
Forgetting all obstructions,
oscillating with hope,
I shall move forward with
open and free vitality.
O the unseen Lord, You stay in effulgence,
and call from the distance
with indicative signal.
You smear the fragrance of love
in the life, and bring close
with unseen pull.
