Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Jyotsná madhur cakora vidhur
Tomár ásháy nabhe ghore
Ásá jáoyá tár hay shudhu sár
Viphal mánase áse niiŕe

Amrter svád sádhya táhár
Sádhaná sádhake hay ekákár
Bojhe náko kichu chot́e pichu pichu
Dúrer vidhure mane dhare

Ámi bujhiyáchi bojhár atiita
E shasháuṋka bhare tháke cita
Citta upaci álekhya raci
Maner mukure dekhi táre

O Lord, the sweet moonlight influenced cakor bird
goes round the sky with Your expectation.
But essentially only its coming and going takes place,
and comes back failing into the mental nest. T
he taste of nectar is its objective;
the endeavor and the aspirant become unified one.
Keeping in the mind the distant moon,
it does not understand that some are left behind.
I grasp the past understanding that
the moon is filled in the mind.
With over flooding heart,
creating the portrait,
I see Him in the mental mirror.
