Man kii je cáy kena jáni ná
Dúre sare jete cái jatabár
Eŕáte kichute pári ná

Halud gáṋdhár phul phut́eche go
Candramalliká hese ut́heche go
Sádá kund phule háoyá legeche go
Ghare thákite man cáy ná

Maner mánuś tumi ácho kuthá
Tomár tare kende mari vrthá
Bujhite páro náki ámár vyathá
Kártik sheśeo kena ele ná

হেমন্তে ঝরা শিশিরবিন্দুতে
মন কী যে চায় কেন জানি না
দূরে সরে' যেতে চাই যতবার
এড়াতে কিছুতে পারি না

হলুদ গাঁদার ফুল ফুটেছে গো
চন্দ্রমল্লিকা হেসে' উঠেছে গো
সাদা কুন্দ ফুলে হাওয়া লেগেছে গো
ঘরে থাকিতে মন চায় না

মনের মানুষ তুমি আছো কুথা
তোমার তরে কেন্দে' মরি বৃথা
বুঝিতে পারো নাকি আমার ব্যথা
কার্তিক শেষেও কেন এলে না

In pre-winter like a dewdrop fallen,
What and why the mind craves, I know not.
Many times I want to go far away;
But I can't evade a jot.

Oh the yellow marigold, bloomed has it;
Oh the chrysanthemum, arisen has it.
On the white jasmine, felt has been a wind!
To stay at home, mind wishes not.

Oh where art Thou, my Heartthrob?
On Your account bitterly in vain I sob.
To figure out my anguish, can You not?
Even by end of Kártik, why came You not?
