From an unknown land
A cloud from some unknown country went on saying:

Wrap a colourful scarf around your mind,
Could it be that your night, it has come to an end?
and prepare a welcome for him.
Perhaps with the dawn bright circumstances attend.
Wipe Your eyes; in fresh clothing get dressed up...
At your home novelty's luster you will be receiving.

Your night is over, perhaps dawn will bring a radiant light.
Fair-eyed maiden, the pain of ancient times gets forgotten;
Wipe your eyes, dress in a new garment.
Cry out for the new with a modern imagination.
The effulgence of the new will illumine your house.
Tales from nightmares, do not think, do not think about them;

With a smiling face, once again You will be pleasing.
Forget the pains of old, o lovelyeyed one.
Welcome the new with grand imagination.
Forget your nightmares
and greet him with a smiling face.

Acin desher megh bale gelo is the 1828th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Acin desher megh bale gelo
Se baṋdhu tomár ghare ásibe
Tumi rauṋin oŕná mane jaŕiye
Tár tare barańd́álá sájábe

Bujhi bá tomár jáminii halo sheś
Bujhi bá úśáy áne ráuṋá parivesh
Tumi áṋkhi mocho nava sáje sájo
Nútaner dyuti ghare bhátibe

Purátaner vyathá bhule jáo sunayaná
Nútanere d́ák dáo niye nava kalpaná
Duhsvapner kathá bhevo ná bhevo ná
Smita mukhe nútanere tuśibe

A cloud from some unknown country went on saying:
To your house that Sweetheart will be coming.
You, having wrapped a colored scarf around psyche,
Will arrange the wicker tray[nb 2] for His welcoming.

Could it be that your night, it has come to an end?
Perhaps with the dawn bright circumstances attend.
Wipe Your eyes; in fresh clothing get dressed up...
At your home novelty's luster you will be receiving.

Fair-eyed maiden, the pain of ancient times gets forgotten;
Cry out for the new with a modern imagination.
Tales from nightmares, do not think, do not think about them;
With a smiling face, once again You will be pleasing.
