Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

(Áji) Pákhiirá kii gán gáiyá jáy
Phúlera vanete bhramará nibhrte
Kii kathá ájike shonáte cáy
Shonáte cáy go shonáte cáy

Bhará bádale jhará bádale
Ashani viśáńe kena mátáy
Káhára pulake jhalake jhalake
Bijaliira kańá chút́iyá jáy

Nava nava sure báṋshii púre pure
Ámára paráńe ke go nácáy

Rúpera devatá hiyára mamatá
Sab madhuratá mekhe dáṋŕáy

What song do the birds keep singing now?
Alone in a flower grove, the bumblebees–
What is it that they would say today?
Oh, what do they want to convey?

With falling rain on a rainy day,
Why does the shofar of thunder astound?
At Whose thrilling, in flash after flash,
Do lightning particles dash about?

With flute ever playing new, new tunes,
Who makes my nature dance and let loose?

The Numen of all forms, the Love of all hearts,
Coated with every sweetness, He awaits.
