Aji prabhate hathat ki go is the 694th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Áji prabháte hat́hát ki go
Ámár kathá paŕlo mane
Juge juge nánán bháve
Shata liilár avasáne

Áj je shuńi núpura dhvani
Sabár ceye manorama
Dáṋŕáo prabhu prańám kari
Namo namo namo namah
Vrajer sedin anek dúre
Sare geche agocare
Tabu tumi maner końe
Ele nava vrndávane
Dile dhará sabár mane

Can it be that suddenly this morn,
The thought of me occurred to Thee?
After many an age and incarnation,
Your myriad games are now complete.

Today I hear the sound of ankle bells,
More pleasing than all else.
Lord, please tarry for me to greet...
I bow, I bow and salute Thee.
Those days of Vraj[nb 2] so long back
Have slipped away into the past;
And yet within a niche of psyche,
At a new Vrindavan You did appear,
Granting embrace in the mind of everybody.

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ This is a reference to the days when Krsna was a child playing with village friends. Ankle bells and Vrindavan solidify the reference.
