Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Áji tomári parashe tomári haraśe
Dharańii ut́hila hási
Tomári chande tomári ánande
Dhará kahilo bhála bási
Ámi tomákei bhálobási

Tava krpádháráte tomári áshise
Kálo kuyáshár káli ket́e gelo nimeśe
Jáhárá tomár álo niváiyá ditechilo
Kothá gelo se páparáshi

Je bhávaná cápá chilo kalpanákusume
Táhá áj neve elo martyera marame
Dharáy pradiip jvele saptalokete mile
Eki sure bájálo báṋshii

O lord,
with your joy and by your touch,
the earth today started smiling.

In your rhythm and bliss,
the earth expresses its love by anouncing: "i love you".
In the flow of your grace and blessings,
the dark fog lifted in mere fractions of time.

Those trying to extinguish your light vanished away,
and, along with them, heaps of sin.
Thoughts lying suppressed
in the imaginary flower of the mind,
today desended down into the core of mortals.

The kindling of light on earth
merged into the seven realms
and played its flute in unison with all.
