Akashe chilo je megh is the 265th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ákáshe chilo je megh
Se jakhana elo
Sakala áṋdhár sariye diye se elo

Bujhite nárinu táre
Kii je se balilo more
Práńer ákuti táháte je bhará chilo

Báhir vishva hátcháni dilo more
Shuniyá shuni ni táre
Maramera váńii kii jena se enechilo

(Áji) Calechi táhári t́áne
Mamatámadhura gáne
Háráno mádhurii sabi se phiráye dilo

The sky was full of clouds when he came.
He came to remove all darkness.
I could not understand Him,
nor could i understand his utterance,
full of lively earnestness.

The external world invited me by its attractions.
I ignored that inner call, that inner voice.
Today I move on, inspired by that (inner) longing.
By an affectionate and gentle song from within,
That lost sweetness has been regained.
