Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Akśay tumi avyay tumi
Aparimeya he aḿshumay
Áloke álokamay
Kusumakeshare
Kiḿshukáloke
Kiirtita tumi karuńámay

Meghamekhaláy mandrita tumi
Chande o giite cheye manobhúmi
Tále uttále jaladhitalete
Chandáyita he úrmimaya

Ádi vá anta kichui mána ná
Cira sháshvata tumii sádhaná
Tava dyotanáy shubha bhávanáy
Vandita ámi he cinmay
Nindá stutir úrdhva jagate
Tomár ásan jyotirmay

You are endless and immutable,
Beyond measure, oh Lord Radiant
With the splendor of highest heaven.
In the stamen of a blossom
And the luster of a palash flower,
Gracious One, You are celebrated.

Girdled by clouds You are resonant;
Mental realm is shaded by rhythm and song,
In cadence surging from the ocean-floor,
Oh the rhythmic, billowy One.

Both origin and end, to nothing You defer;
Everlasting, You alone are the endeavor.
With Your implication and Your wholesome ideation,
I am lionized, oh Consciousness Personified.
Beyond censure and praise, indeed supramundane,
Is Your seat, oh Effulgent One.
