Alo jhara sharat sanjhe is the 1411th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Álo jhará sharat sáṋjhe
Maner kuheliite
Dekhte ámi pái ni kichu
Chilum áṋdhárete

Álo háte elo járá
Álor pratiik chilo tárá
Táder sáthe mishe jete
Pári ni asmitáte

Álo niye gelo járá
Álor pathik chilo tárá
Táder sáthe path calite
Pári ni durbalatáte

On an effulgent winter evening,
the mist of my mind
did not let me recognise things properly,
and i remained in darkness.

Those symbolising effulgence
came with a torch in their hands.
Due to ego and pride,
I could not merge in them.

The travellers of effulgence
proceeded on with a torch in their hands.
Due to my weakness
I could not accompany them on their journey.
