Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Álo tumi tule dharo sabári sámane
Tomáy jáy ná jáná buddhi jiṋáne

Bhávi jakhan jene gechi
Dekhi takhan áṋdháre áchi
Samarpańe bujhi ácho mane

Duhkher ráte dahanajváláy
Shoke tápe vyathita hiyáy
D́eke dekhi ácho sauṋgopane

O lord, you show the path of effulgence to all.
by virtue of intellect and superficial knowledge,
you cannot be realized.
when i feel that i have understood You,
then and there I realize that i am in the dark.
but when i surrender everything to you,
then only i feel that you are residing in my mind.
when i call you desperately during my nights of suffering
burning with the fire of worries,
repentance and afflictions of heart.
in all these sufferings, with crying of my heart,
when i call you desperately.
Then i feel that You are secretly residing
there in the core of my heart.
