Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Áloke snáta ánande smita
E prabhát jena prabhu sháshvata hay
Dúr gagane maneri końe
Tava dyuti jena udbhásita ray

Ásháy chilum base juga dhare
Icchá púrńa áji dile kare
Ámár eśańá pelo karuńá
E karuńádhárá jena juge juge vay

Jáná chilo tumi tháko maneri májhe
Prakáshita hale áji rúperi sáje
Tumi ácho ámi áchi mane práńe beṋce áchi
Bujhechi liilár e tava sheś kathá nay

The dawn is bathing in a delightful smile.
O god, let this dawn remain forever!
In the far sky,
in the corner of my mind,
You are present.
Let your effulgence ever be expressed!

I have spent ages in the hope of attaining you.
Today, you have fulfilled my desires.
Let the stream of compassion flow on and on for all time.
Be anywhere, be in my heart.

Today, you have manifested in visible form.
You exist therefore i exist.
With your heart and soul i have existed.
Today, i realise that your cosmic play is not the last word.
