Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Áloker e utsave eso sabe
Prajiṋájyotite jágái jagate
Milemishe káj kare e maháhave (áj)

Keha káháro kakhano par nay
Bodher abháve nikat́o dúr hay
Mánuś jene ják kii tár paricay
Tári áyojana kari e utsave

Pichane thákibo ná atiite tákábo ná
Kákeo pichiye thákite dobo ná
Sabáre sáthe niye moder e sádhaná
E álo puiṋjiibhúta gláni náshibe

Come all, at this festival of light,
i am awakening whole world with the light of intuition,
let us work jointly together in this great fight.
nobody is distant, disowned any time,
in the absence of intuition,
the nearer ones are considered far.
the human beings do not know what is their real self.
that is why i have organized this festival.
i shall stay behind, nor look back.
i shall not even allow anyone to remain behind.
this endeavor of mine is by taking all together,
so that the concentrated, combined light
can destroy the agonies.
