Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Áloker játrápathe
Ámár sauṋge theko divá ráti
Asaháy ámi prabhu
Tava krpá jáci duhát páti

Sukhe mor eso ghare
Tuśibo priiti bhare
Dukheteo theko ná dúre
Ámár shákánna je tomár tare
Áṋdhár ghare ámár jvelo báti

Tumi dúre jaŕete hárái
Tumi ghire nijere je pái
Hási káṋdi tava giiti gái
Tava bhávanáte tháki máti
Tomáy shata shata jánái nati

O lord,
on this journey towards enlightenment,
please stay with me, day and night.
O lord i am helpless, asking for your grace
with both hands folded.

Come to my home during my happy days;
I shall satisfy you with plenty of love.
Also, during my bad days, do not stay away.
All my poor man's food is for you.

Kindle light in my dark home.
When you are away, i am lost in inertia and crudity.
When you closely surround me, i realise my true self.
I sing your song while smiling or crying,
remaining intoxicated in your ideation.
I offer hundreds and hundreds of salutations
bowing before you.
