Light ignites more light—
On far shore of light is more light afterward–
The flow of light is infinite.
Waves of light go on flowing; endless they are.

To the source of light, I am fused;
He for Whom there's so much light holds me dear;
His image in my mind is imbued.
And in my mind His luster roves along, floating.

Sometimes distant, sometimes near,
Sometimes very far but sometimes very near,
His various melodies, His many songs
In varied forms, in diverse songs and melodies.
Vibrate all as He drifts along.
Dancing, He moves on, having shook everybody.

The lotus of my mind blossoms in multiple shades;
The mental lotus, manifest in many colors,
Brimming with nectar, toward Him it does race.
With sweet scent, rushes in just His direction.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Álor párete álo tárpare áro álo
Apár álor d́heu bahe cale jáy

Jár lági eta álo se ámáre báse bhálo
Mor mane tár chavi bhásiyá beŕáy

Kakhano bá ati káche kakhano bá ati dúre
Nánán rúpe náná gáne o sure
Sabáike dolá diye nece se je jáy

Maner kamal kata varńe vikashita
Gandhamadhu niye tári páne dháy

On far shore of light is more light afterward–
Waves of light go on flowing; endless they are.

He for Whom there's so much light holds me dear;
And in my mind His luster roves along, floating.

Sometimes very far but sometimes very near,
In varied forms, in diverse songs and melodies.
Dancing, He moves on, having shook everybody.

The mental lotus, manifest in many colors,
With sweet scent, rushes in just His direction.
