O lord, you came into my mind,
Stealthily, into my psyche
secretly, showering grace.
You came, Lord, graciously.
i have no skill, knowledge,
In me is no intellect or learning;
intellect or capability to satisfy you.
I have no ability, but Yourself I please.
those who are sheltered in this world

comprising of the inanimate and animate entities,
Those subsumed in the whole of this Creation;
for then there is no dearth of place.
Theirs is not a lack of accommodation.
this is only Your mercy,
It is only Your compassion;
for which all are grateful to you.
With appreciation I am brimming.
prayer and solicitations do not satisfy the mind.

you are fathomless vast consciousness.
By praise and adulation mind is not filled;
i just think, how and why You love me.
You are bottomless and unending Consciousness.
I just muse that even You, in some manner,
For some reason hold me dear?

Amar mane saungopane is the 2156th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ámár mane sauṋgopane
Ele prabhu krpá kare
Vidyá buddhi kichui je nái
Sámarthya nái tuśi tomáre

Ei carácar adhiin jáhár
Sthánábháv nái kichui táhár
E shudhu karuńá tomár
Krtajiṋatáy áchi bhare

Stav stutite bhare ná man
Atal tumi apár cetan
Shudhu bhávi tumii keman
Kena bhálabáso more

Stealthily, into my psyche
You came, Lord, graciously.
In me is no intellect or learning;
I have no ability, but Yourself I please.

Those subsumed in the whole of this Creation;
Theirs is not a lack of accommodation.
It is only Your compassion;
With appreciation I am brimming.

By praise and adulation mind is not filled;
You are bottomless and unending Consciousness.
I just muse that even You, in some manner,
For some reason hold me dear?
