Jedin tumi páshe chile
Maner málá diye diyechi
Bhálabásár vediimúle

Mor kánane ájo háse
Cáṋpá belá se ucchváse
Tumi gele dúr videshe
Phot́á kusum jáy viphale

Aruń ráger anuráge
Dolá je dey mor paráge
Tájá parág jhare paŕe
Anádare dharátale

আমার সেদিন হারিয়ে গেছে
যেদিন তুমি পাশে ছিলে
মনের মালা দিয়ে দিয়েছি
ভালবাসার বেদীমূলে

মোর কাননে আজও হাসে
চাঁপা বেলা সে উচ্ছ্বাসে
তুমি গেলে দূর বিদেশে
ফোটা কুসুম যায় বিফলে

অরুণ রাগের অনুরাগে
দোলা যে দেয় মোর পরাগে
তাজা পরাগ ঝরে পড়ে
অনাদরে ধরাতলে

Those days of mine are forever gone
when you stayed by my side.

A garland of love
I offered
at the altar of love
with mogra and magnolia
in exuberant bloom,

but you chose to leave
to a distant land
and their petals
wither now.

The light of dawn still scintillates
in my lovefilled mind.
Yet each day
from her neglected blooms
parched pollen
sorrowfully falls.
