Tumi krpá kare esecho
Ámi bujhi ni tomáre chinu jaŕe liin
Tumi moha bheuṋge diyecho

Vyasta chilum shudhu nijeke niye
Sukher upádán khuṋje viśaye
Drśt́i ghuriye diye cokh phut́iye (tumi)
Mor shuśka marme bhálabásá bharecho

Ámár ámi chilo virát́ bojhá
Báṋká pathe caleche se cale ni sojá
Tumi dik dekhiye path dhariye
Ámáre mánuś karecho

আমি চাই নি তোমারে কাছে কোন দিন
তুমি কৃপা করে' এসেছ
আমি বুঝি নি তোমারে ছিনু জড়ে লীন
তুমি মোহ ভেঙ্গে' দিয়েছ

ব্যস্ত ছিলুম শুধু নিজেকে নিয়ে
সুখের উপাদান খুঁজে' বিষয়ে
দৃষ্টি ঘুরিয়ে দিয়ে চোখ ফুটিয়ে (তুমি)

বাঁকা পথে চলেছে সে চলে নি সোজা

On any day I did not want You near;
Graciously You have come.
I did not discern You, to matter I'd been clinging;
You have shattered blind infatuation.

I had been occupied with only my own self,
Seeking elements of pleasure in sensory objects.
Rotating vision, eyes having opened,
Inside my arid heart, You have instilled love.

My ego was an immense weight;
It's moved along a crooked road, went not straight.
But You, having shown the way and set on the path,
You have made me human.
