Mor jáoyár virati nái
Ámi áloker mukhe jhalak d́hálite cái
Mor cáoyár sheś ná pái

Bháśá phot́ái maona jiivane
Kalakákaliite harińii nayane
Sabákár mane virale vijane
Madhurimá dhiire dhiire mákhái

Sabákár kathá satata bhávi
Úha avoher náce ut́hi návi
Matta pavane uttále sabi
Kśańe sariye mane lukái

আমি গোলাপের বুকে সুরভি ভরিয়া যাই
মোর যাওয়ার বিরতি নাই
আমি আলোকের মুখে ঝলক ঢালিতে চাই
মোর চাওয়ার শেষ না পাই

ভাষা ফোটাই মৌন জীবনে
কলকাকলীতে হরিণী-নয়নে
সবাকার মনে বিরলে বিজনে
মধুরিমা ধীরে ধীরে মাখাই

সবাকার কথা সতত ভাবি
ঊহ-অবোহের নাচে উঠি নাবি
মত্ত পবনে উত্তালে সবই
ক্ষণে সরিয়ে মনে লুকাই

I go on infusing fragrance in the rose's breast;
To my doing this there's no end.
I want to pour radiance on the face of effulgence;
Of my desire I find no end.

I make language bloom in a mute life,
Through a bird's warbling, by a doe's eyes.
Alone and secluded in everybody's mind,
Little by little I make sweetness-coated.

Always I think on the story of everyone;
I rise and fall in a dance of crest and trough.
On a drunken wind all is boisterous;
I hide in the mind, withdrawn in a moment.
