Lyrics

Roman script Bengali script Translation

Ámi rjupathe cale cali bhái
Ábol tábol nai sojhá kathát́i
Bole jete cái áj bole jete cái

Ákáshe legeche rámdhanura khelá
Mát́ite raheche náná rúpera melá
Tári májhe váyu bahe bháve utalá
Ámi iháder sakal ke báncáite cái

Rúp ras gandha já áche dharáte
Sneha bhálobásá jáhá áche manete
Iháder niśkalmaś karite
Eso háte háte sáthe sáthe káj kare jái

Along a straight path I move ahead.
I want to speak directly –
Not pointless, meaningless words.
In the sky there is a play
Of rainbow colours.
On earth there is a festival
Of kaleidoscopic light.
All this I must preserve.
Form, taste, smell,
All treasures of earth –
To maintain them pure and undefiled,
Let us come and work together
Hand in hand.
