Darkness has now come,
Kindle light... darkness has come;
so kindle light!
This utter ebon can't be borne.
This darkness is unbearable.
Imbue all things with humanity;
I want prosperity and more prosperity.

Pour whatever is possible to mix into humanity,
Many an age has passed, musing on inertia;
and wish to all more and more benevolence.
It has brought self-recognition like a desert-mirage;
So bring you the ever-new, no more stuff outdated;
An [[:wikipedia:Mirabilis jalapa|evening jasmine]] having laughed, hope it awakened.

Many ages have passed by
A host of people you are overlooking...
in dogmatic and inertial thinking.
You don't realize that it's blistering humanity.
Perfect and profound knowledge
Languor past ignored, hands upraised invite everybody;
shall now enter the desert mirage.
The flag of victory is seen... flying it began.

Nothing ancient will persist,
only what is ever new shall be brought about.
The evening malatii flower smiles to awaken hope.

You are ignoring majority,
do not you know that humanity is burning?

Forgetting the agony of the past,
call all with raised hands,
and see your victory banner flying high.

Andhar eseche alo jvalo is the 1954th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Áṋdhár eseche álo jválo
Sahe ná e nikaśa kálo
Sab kichu mánavatá mishiye d́hálo
Cái bhálo áro bhálo

Bahu jug cale geche jaŕbhávanáy
Pratyabhijiṋá eneche maru máyáy
Ár nay purátan áno já cira nútan
Sandhyámálatii hese áshá jágálo

Avajiṋá kariyácho bahu janke
Jano ná tá dahiyáche mánavatáke
Atiiter gláni bhule sabe d́áko hát tule
Vijay ketan dekhe uŕe callo

Kindle light... darkness has come;
This utter ebon can't be borne.
Imbue all things with humanity;
I want prosperity and more prosperity.

Many an age has passed, musing on inertia;
It has brought self-recognition like a desert-mirage;
So bring you the ever-new, no more stuff outdated;
An evening jasmine having laughed, hope it awakened.

A host of people you are overlooking...
You don't realize that it's blistering humanity.
Languor past ignored, hands upraised invite everybody;
The flag of victory is seen... flying it began.
