Je áshá cápá chilo bukero májhe
Je bháśá phot́e ni kabhu rúpera sáje
Je din láge ni kabhu kona káje
Phule phale madhute bharilo

আঁধার এসেছিল
তোমার নূপুর ধ্বনি হ’ল
আলো এল
বাদল মেঘে ঢেকেছিল
সরে গেল

তপস্যা চলেছিল বিনা বিরতি
শত শত যুগ ধরে’ কত না রাতি
পূর্ণ হ’ল তার যজ্ঞাহুতি
তুমি এলে সুধা ঝরিল

যে আশা চাপা ছিল বুকেরও মাঝে
যে ভাষা ফোটে নি কভু রূপের সাজে
যে দিন লাগে নি কভু কোন কাজে
ফুলে ফলে মধুতে ভরিল
