Andhar hiyay tumi alo is the 2655th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Áṋdhár hiyáy tumi álo
Násho kálo násho kálo
Niiras marubhúmi shyámala kare
Sudhár surabhi táte d́hálo

Je latá shukiye geche je kali jhare geche
Átapa dahane jár suśamá háriyeche
Táhár buker madhu táhár práńer baṋdhu
Áshá bháśá tár phirálo[nb 2]

Patita pátakiio tava krpá jece jáy
Jene bá ná jene sabe tomári páne dháy
Madhu áshe ali áse jemani phuler páshe
Bhálor ceye tumi bhálo

O lord, you are the light of the dark heart,
destroy the darkness.
by making the dry desert green,
you pour the fragrance of nectar in that.
the creeper that got dried,
the bud that withered,
whose beauty is lost due to burn of heat,
whose hopes and language have exhausted,
you are the nectar of their heart,
o the most beloved friend.
All the fallen and sinners seek your grace.
knowingly or unknowingly, all rush towards You.
the way bee comes to the flower
with the hope of honey,
you are the most desired amidst the dearest.

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ In the Bangla source, the last two words of this line are tár phurálo. In context, it makes little sense and is inconsistent with the spirit of Prabhat Samgiita. It seems likely the composer had dictated tár phirálo, and it was written down incorrectly.
