Andhar sagar pare esecho is the 810th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Áṋdhár ságar páre esecho
Esecho rúper samárohe
Álor dyutite tumi hesecho
Hesecho bodhir avarohe

Jáhá chilo tridiver
Táhá halo sakaler
Sabákár hiyá ánande upaciyá
Bhesecho surer praváhe

Esecho bhálabásáy
Bharite bháve bháśáy
Eso mor kut́iire dhiire ati dhiire
Tarauṋgita tava úha avohe

Crossing the sea of darkness, You have come;
You have come with beauty's splendor.
Dispersing light, You have smiled;
You have smiled, bestowing insight.

What was merely heavenly,
Now that belongs to everybody.
Every living heart is flooded with ecstasy,
As You've appeared upon a stream of melody.

You've come to us with love
To fill with words our deepest thoughts.
Slowly, stately, please enter my hut,
Undulating with Your crests and troughs.[nb 2]

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ According to the Samsad Bengali-English Dictionary, tarauṋgita (তরঙ্গিত) not only means "undulating" but also "full of poses or attitudes". In the context of this song, probably both meanings are intended. "Undulating with Your crests and troughs" becomes a rich metaphor for "having poses or attitudes with highs and lows"... giving out smiles to scowls, boons to banes.
